I use to work for a church. My time there taught me to walk the walk I talked. It showed me the importance of reading God's Word, the importance of being a teachable disciple of Jesus, and the importance of studying God's Word in community.

Then I got laid off.

So, in that period of "in-between," I created this website to start writing what I was reading and to invite women to come along with me on this journey.

I remember reading Jeremiah 15:16 when I was preparing to teach a small group of women before we studied through the book of James. Jeremiah says:

When I found your words, I devoured them; your words made me glad, they gave me joy; because, Adonai-Tzva’ot, you had me bear your name.

This verse is how I introduced our Bible study to the women who met in my living room. I wanted to create a space where we could find God's Word, we could be replenished and we could find joy.

I hope that if you're here today, you find what you are looking for.

If you're looking for nourishment for your soul, reading and meditating on God's Word provides the sustenance our inner being needs to thrive and grow.

If you're looking for joy and delight, reading the Scriptures can bring profound sense of perfect peace, a sense of purpose, and a deep satisfaction to those who immerse themselves in it.
